Sell Your Timeshare
Has the realization that your never-ending timeshare bills will even be passed down to your children made you start thinking you should sell your timeshare? Well, you are not alone. Most timeshare owners are left thinking, “I desperately want to cancel my timeshares.” In this recession, many timeshare owners are trying to get rid of their timeshare to eliminate costs, but also hoping to make a profit off of the resale as well to help with the mounting bills. Unfortunately, as we are about to discuss, this is something that is almost never actually achieved, even though some timeshare retailers will pitch it as highly probable to all timeshare buyers. Unless you cancel your timeshare sale within a very short period after signing you will be stuck in that timeshare contract with no practical timeshare exit solution.
Many timeshare sellers, when pitching their properties, will play up the backside of the transaction. They will tell you that even if you do eventually decide that you no longer want your timeshare (which will never happen, of course), then you can sell it for a huge profit. As you might have expected, this is unfortunately highly untrue. Timeshares, by any and every account, are not investments. As a matter of fact, the value of timeshares has been dropping steadily for years, a major sufferer of the recession. Prices have been reduced to mere fractions of what they once were. So, as a timeshare owner, you think that you can sell your timeshare now and cut your losses. Unfortunately, even though timeshares are valued at far below their previous purchase cost and being offered at that huge discount price, they are still impossible to get rid of. Why?
The answer is quite simple actually and it extends far beyond the timeshare market; nobody is buying. Hence the reason for the recession and also why it continues. Across different timeshare forums, even those discussing how problematic they are, people are posting their timeshare for sale, many as low as a dollar. And yet still, nobody will buy it. (Some timeshare owners try to donate timeshare, but their aren’t many charities accepting timeshares unless they can turn around and sell it quickly). Even after a timeshare owner has recognized that there is no selling for a profit, selling to breaking even, now they must recognize with their own eyes by their own efforts that there is simply no timeshare selling at all. Even hiring timeshare attorneys will not help get rid of timeshare property.
Unfortunately, this is a very difficult thing to accept for many timeshare owners being crippled financially by rising maintenance fees, desperate for a way out. This is the part of the timeshare problem where many become victim to what Better Business Bureau has called one of the biggest scams operating in the United States today; timeshare resale. Turning to a timeshare resale company is one of the worst things to befall a timeshare owner, and so difficult to avoid at the same time. They contact you via e-mail, direct mail or phone and swear up and down that they will not only get rid of your timeshare for you, but make you a substantial profit as well. This obviously should be the first red flag considering that you, yourself, could not sell the thing for mere pennies. However, when a company absolutely guarantees you a profit, it’s difficult to just turn away.
So you proceed to work with them. They demand your money upfront and some time down the line, you realize not only have you not heard from them, but they have not done a single thing either. You attempt to get back in touch with them, but the phone just keeps ringing and nobody ever answers. So what do you do now? Unfortunately, selling a timeshare is a method of getting rid of timeshare property that does not work. If you are in need of being disentangled from your timeshare use a timeshare transfer service, take the best way to get rid of timeshare and call a company that is in good standing with the BBB, can provide as many testimonials as you desire and has no upfront costs; Timeshare Relief, a leader in the industry since 2004.
